Inspired by Stowe

Stowe, Vermont is one of my favorite places in the world and when you arrive it actually feels like you are in another world…a place where mountains meet covered bridges, snow squeaks under your feet, and you never worry about ‘hat hair’…

But here I am at home in Belmont! (Stowe inspired skiis on the wall, the last of my winter decorations to remain) These pics were taken on an ordinary Sunday, but with a trip to Stowe around the corner, so it goes that my outfit was Vermont inspired…

This is not your ordinary hoodie sweatshirt, it’s a luxurious top by NSF, super soft, slightly fitted, with a wide stretchy band at the bottom…it looks like two pieces but it’s just one. My favorite way to style this is to pair it with something edgy, avoiding the typical ‘jeans/sweatshirt/sneaker’ look…

The boots are by Frye…they have a nice high, chunky heel with a small platform in front, so very comfortable with an edgy, ‘motorcycle chic’ style…

They may not look like anything special but these leggings are great! The brand is David Lerner, found at Sole Amour in Winchester…I normally wear a small, but sized up to a medium and they fit great! What’s nice about them is that they are not too thin – they are heavy enough to be warm and also to feel like you have some ‘support’ on your legs…will also be cute with sneakers, with a long blazer, yada yada…

For outerwear, my chic Moncler! Skiwear has actually become more popular in the city these days, similarly to athleisure…if you like your warm, stylish gear for the slopes, why just wear it aprés ski? Enjoy it around town and get more bang for your buck!

Add a pompom hat…

And off to…..the grocery store! 🙂 Yippee!

Stay tuned for a much more picturesque post of our weekend in Stowe…

Happy Presidents Day!
