Boss Lady

Whether or not you’re the boss, you can still dress like one! And that need not mean dressing like a man…balancing strong, masculine pieces with feminine – even sexy ones – is a look for all ages and all body types. On this particular day, the outfit started with a Wolford faux leather pull-on skirt. It is definitely fitted, so it’s important to keep other pieces loose fitting…

Perfect! A blue and white striped shirt that looks like I borrowed it from Peter’s closet, but, no, it’s mine! Brand is Citizens of Humanity, found earlier this year at Revolve…

The tailored black blazer is by Zadig and Voltaire…it’s just as great with jeans and a tee – I recently wore it in Nashville with leather leggings and sneakers…but of course, no sneakers to work…

There is nothing I love more than a beautiful, feminine shoe, and beautiful tights, aka ‘luxury leg wear’…these suede pumps are surprisingly NOT a luxury brand, but they certainly look it, don’t they? They are by Sam Edelman – comfortable (YES), and reasonably priced (under $150). The tights ARE a luxury brand, they are by Wolford…these are a new style this year, Pure Shimmer 40 Concealer Tights, $67 …they have a subtle shimmer, not too opaque yet not to sheer…and best of all – super comfortable.

To be comfortable – and chic – in the chilly air, gotta have my trusty three: hat, scarf, and gloves! Wrap wool coat by Theory (TJMaxx!)…

Boss lady is ready to hit the road! Looking professional, strong and feminine at the same time. Never underestimate the power of a woman. 😉

  1. I love every piece of this look. I have many pairs of Sam Edelman shoes but I couldn’t wear these to work. I run up and down stairs all day – I know I would surely fall. But they look lovely on you. That coat is divine.
